What a night for our Junior B team! 💙💛
Huge congratulations to the lads on a massive Munster Junior Shield semi-final victory over a very strong Ballynanty Rovers side from Limerick.
This was a real battle from start to finish, with both teams giving absolutely everything. Chances were hard to come by and neither side could break the deadlock, with the game finishing 0-0 after 90 minutes. Even after extra time, it remained scoreless — a true testament to the discipline, work rate, and determination shown by both teams.
That meant it all came down to the drama of penalties… and the lads showed incredible composure under pressure. One by one, the penalties were dispatched with confidence in a tense shootout.
With everything on the line, Alan O’Sullivan stepped up to take the deciding penalty — and he made no mistake, coolly finding the net to seal a 5-4 shootout win for Carrigaline! 🙌⚽️
A huge squad effort, with every player playing their part, and a special mention to the goalkeeper Ryan Doyle for crucial saves when it mattered most.
