A huge result for the lads yesterday as we finally got a win away to our closest rivals from last season.
All 16 players played their part — including battling hard, fighting for each other, and showing real belief throughout. It wasn’t a game where chances came easy, but the team showed great mental strength and resilience to stay in it.
With 15 minutes to go, George Murphy popped up with the decisive moment — a proper fox-in-the-box finish to put us ahead.
From there, the lads dug deep. Under constant pressure from a determined Everton side, they stood strong, defended with everything they had, and saw the game out for a well-earned three points.
A brilliant team performance and a result the boys should be extremely proud of — fully deserved for all their hard work.
Honourable mention as well to goalkeeper Eoghan Barry, who missed the game through injury.
